Common Questions

What kinds of events do you play?

Anything from concerts at clubs or other venues to private events and parties—including recurring gigs at monthly or quarterly gatherings, for example. I can perform solo or with collaborators, depending on the event and your needs.

If I need a group performance, can I choose the other performers you bring?

You can certainly choose the size of the group, and I’ll do everything I can to meet your preferences regarding personnel. However, my ability to do so will depend on the availability of specific collaborators.

Do you provide all of the equipment?

If your venue has a sound system and appropriate gear (microphones, etc.), typically those will be utilized for the performance. I can bring sound equipment if needed, but it may add to the cost.

Can I request a specific song or songs?

During the booking process, we’ll discuss your preferences and requirements. I can’t promise that your songs are in my repertoire, but I’m open to new things! Usually, though, my clients request genres rather than individual songs.

How much lead time do you need?

The more the better, especially if you have specific requests regarding performers. But even if I am choosing the players, I still need to confirm their availability. Two weeks is probably the bare minimum for lead time, but a month (or more) is best.

How much does it cost?

That depends on a variety of factors—including how long the performance will be, the size of the venue, the expected number of attendees, how many performers you’d like, whether a sound system is needed, etc. I’m happy to help you walk through all the details so I can provide you with an accurate quote.
